Happy Second Blogiversary! Time for a Celebration Giveaway! #giveaway #internationalgiveaway #stephlvsbooks

I can hardly believe that I’ve been blogging for two years now! My blog anniversary was actually May 4th so I’m a few days late, but I say you’re never too late to celebrate, right?

The time has definitely flown by since I decided to create my blog so I could talk about books with other people who loved them as much as I did. When I started my blog, I didn’t know what to expect and I have to be honest and say that I never thought that I’d still be doing it two years later. What started as a hobby has turned into so much more. I definitely didn’t expect to enjoy this so much or to discover such a wonderful community of people who have welcomed me and befriended me the way that so many of you have.

Without a doubt, the most wonderful part of the past two years has been becoming friends with so many of you. I cannot thank you enough for the part that you play in my life each and every day, in big and small ways. It might be talking books, sharing advice, chatting, or just being there for me, but it means so much. These past two years have had its ups and downs: my Lupus diagnosis during my 1st year of blogging; the death of my beautiful dog Branna within weeks of that, which is a pain I still feel every day; the almost every other month flare-ups of my fibro and Lupus; my pulmonary embolism and ICU scare last fall; my dad’s heart attack and bypass surgery within weeks of that; and so many other things. During all these things, I’ve been able to share my stories, my fears, my pain, and I’ve been given love, support, care, comfort, wisdom, and friendship, which is beyond what I can ever thank all of you for.

I want to thank all of my readers and followers for being such a huge part of my life for the past two years. I definitely couldn’t have my blog without all of your continued support. Thank you so much for everything!

Because I’m celebrating my blogiversary, I’m hosting a giveaway as my way of saying thank you to all of you who I care about so much and who have cared so much about me over the last two years. It’s just my small way of saying thank you!

  9. Happy Blogiversary to you!!! I’m sorry to hear about how rough the last two years have been for you. I hope you have found some comfort in reading and writing this blog. I’ve definitely been enjoying your blog posts! Here are my 3 picks: 1. Ruth Ware’s “The Turn of the Key” 2. Margaret Atwood’s “The Testaments” & 3. Abbi Waxman’s “The Bookish Life of Nina Hill”

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Thank you so much, Sarah! I definitely have found comfort in my blog, especially the writing. Thank you-that means the world to me! I cannot wait for The Turn of the Key of The Bookish Life of Nina Hill, which I will be on the blog tour for and am super excited! I am on the fence about The Testaments, but I will probably end up reading it anyway. I do enjoy Atwood’s writing but am not a fan of speculative fiction, so I’m probably one of the few people who doesn’t love The Handmaid’s Tale. Alias Grace is a favorite though! Good luck!

Yes! Lock Every Door and The Last Widow are two of my most anticipated reads. I’ll have to look at Home for Erring and Outcast Girls-I think I read the synopsis and was intrigued but already had 4 books releasing that day, but I’m going to look again! Thanks for entering and good luck!

      1. That’s great to hear! I love Megan Miranda’s books and I can’t wait to get a copy… I’m still waiting for the paperback of The Lost Man to be published (next week); I should have it at home by early June latest. I loved The Dry so I can’t wait to read it!

Amy Harmon is one of my favorite authors and I’ve loved almost every story so far (favorites would be What The Wind Knows, The Smallest Part, Making Faces and From Sand And Ash), and while this newest is totally different I’m really excited to be reading it. ❤

      2. Me too! She’s great. I haven’t had a lot of time to read this one, but it’s good so far. I’ve heard such good things about The Lost Man and hope to read all Harper’s books this summer! I hope you enjoy it as much as you did The Dry.

I just realized that I have What the Wind Knows on my Kindle! I thought the name sounded familiar but it didn’t click until you gave the book title. I really need to read that one since I’ve heard such wonderful things! I hope you enjoy her new one just as much!! ❤

      3. What The Wind Knows is absolutely fantastic! One of my top reads so far this year… It’s historical fiction mixed with time travel elements and the Ireland setting is excellently developed. ❤

      1. Challenge accepted! Okay, so on my TBR for summer reads…

        1. Little Darlings – Melanie Golding (this I’m in a reservation queue for at the library after seeing your post about!)

        2. Cleaning The Gold – Karin Slaughter & Lee Child – This is a May 2019 release that I’m hoping to pick up. I love Slaughter so it’ll be interesting to see how the characters from both authors, Jack Reacher (Child) & Will Trent (Slaughter) work together!

        3. Dark Sacred Night – Michael Connelly – Another May release, and although I was a little disappointed in some of his recent books (including the one I had him sign at a book signing but it was incredible to get to meet him) I’m hoping for good things from this one!

      2. Wonderful picks, Caz! Well, you know I loved Little Darlings, so I’ll be interested on your thoughts.

Karin Slaughter is my all-time favorite author, and I’m in love with Will Trent. Then I’ve read every single Jack Reacher Book (and there are 21in that series!) and am also in love with him, so I’m dying to read it! I bought it yesterday, so I’ll read it as soon as I get a chance!

I have Dark Sacred Night on audio and just need to listen to it! I love Renee Ballard!

  18. Slaughter is just incredible, isn’t she? Absolutely love her writing style, the way she brings her characters to life, the twists in every premise… And we’ll have to share Mr Trent 😉
I hope Dark Sacred Night is good, I’m hoping for better with this one so I hope you enjoy it & I’ll look forward to hearing what you think.
I would have added Jonathan Kellerman to this list with Wedding Guest but I actually read that last week (and loved it), he’s another excellent author, just sucks you in and makes you read his books like a person possessed! xx
