WWW Wednesday! February 13, 2019

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a fabulous week!
WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words. Here’s how it works: all you need to do is answer the following three questions and link back to her, or you can put your answers in the comments on her blog!

The three WWW questions are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently, I’m reading:

*Popsugar 2019 Challenge Prompt: a book written by two female authors

The Secret to Southern Charm (Peachtree Bluff #2) by Kristy Woodson Harvey

The Thief (Black Dagger Brotherhood #16) by J.R. Ward * (audiobook)

*Popsugar 2019 Challenge Prompt: two books that share the same title

Since last week I finished reading:

A Beautiful Corpse (Harper McClain #2) by Christi Daugherty    (4.5 Stars)

Slightly South of Simple (Peachtree Bluff #1) by Kristy Woodson Harvey  (4.5 Stars)

The House at Pooh Corner by A.A. Milne, illustrated by Ernest H. Shepard   (5 Stars)

My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing* (5 Stars)

*Popsugar 2019 Challenge Prompt: a debut novel

Burying the Honeysuckle Girls by Emily Carpenter * (4.5 Stars)

*Popsugar 2019 Challenge Prompt: a book with a plant in the title or on cover

Next, I plan on reading:

The Last Year of the War by Susan Meissner

Look For Me (Detective D.D. Warren #9) by Lisa Gardner

Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder * (with my daughter)

*Popsugar 2019 Challenge Prompt: a book that makes you nostalgic

Well, that’s what my reading has been like since last week! How about yours? What good books are you reading this week or have you recently finished? What wonderful books do you plan on reading next? I’d love to hear what you’re reading so I can have more ideas for my ever-growing TBR pile! 🙂 Have a great week!!

    1. I think you would enjoy it! I love Lisa Gardner and have had this book for a year now; why I haven’t read it yet baffles me! Thank you! Thanks for sharing your WWW post too! 🙂

  1. So many great books! I can’t wait to read the new Christina Lauren and so happy you are continuing to enjoy KWH. Little House in the Big Woods is the best! I’m sure it’s a re-read for you? I think I liked that one more than LHOTP. Happy reading, Steph! ♥️

    1. I started the Christina Lauren last night and it’s a riot! I finally had to go to bed. Oh yes, I’m so excited to read Sloane’s story. It’s bringing back memories of when I was a military wife and my hubby was deployed 3x…I just can’t imagine since I always worried the worst. This is going to be a favorite, I think! Yes, it is a reread, and I agree. I’ve read all the Little House books more than once…I loved them so much when I was around 8 to 10, and I loved the show too! LHITBW is my Popsugar challenge prompt for a book that makes me feel nostalgic but it’s also our literature study for the next couple of weeks, so win-win! Thank you! You too, Jennifer! ❤💜

  2. I am looking forward to the Christina Lauren book as I have enjoyed her books so far. I did read My Lovely Wife and it was freakishly amazing I thought. I do have The Last Year of the War and hoping it will be good. I am reading The Burning Island, so far so good by Hester Young and just finished Bird Box which was quite something. Starting or hoping to start We Must Be Brave by Frances Liardet and picking up Finding Dorothy today from the library. As usual I have “nothing” to read! 🙂 Have a terrific Wednesday, Stephanie!

    1. I started the new Christina Lauren book last night and had to force myself to go to bed! It’s so good. It’s the 3rd one that I’ve read, but I want to read more by them. I loved My Lovely Wife and was so impressed that it was a debut! That ending just left my jaw hanging! I’ve never read anything by Hester Young, but I’ve heard good things and am glad you are enjoying it so far. I may read the Bird Box–I’m still debating. Finding Dorothy is on my TBR, and I need to see if my library has it. I know, we have nothing at all to read! Ha! 🙂 Enjoy all your books, and Happy Wednesday to you too, Marialyce!

  3. I can’t wait for your thoughts on The Last Year of the War! I really enjoyed Look for Me too. And what is not to love about Little House in the Big Woods! You are going to have a great week of reading 🙂

    1. I’m excited to read both! I’ve had Look for Me since it came out and am not sure why I haven’t read it yet but need to before her new one! That’s when I realized I was a book behind, lol. I just love Laura Ingalls Wilder’s books and can’t wait to read them with my daughter! I hope she loves them like I did. I hope so..thank you! 🙂

    1. I really did love this one! It was crazy as can be. It was slow in parts, but it was omg insane! And the ending was just wild. I hope if you pick it up that you enjoy it like I did!
